Comcast will start offering bandwidth meters

by Administrator on December 7, 2008

Comcast has already placed bandwidth limit of 250 GB per month on it’s customers.  Anyone who went over the limit was given a warning and if they continued to go over the limit, they risked loosing their internet connection.  For now, anyone with Comcast had to take an educated guess at their bandwidth usage and just hope they don’t get any letter or suspension notice.  To solve this problem, Comcast is releasing a bandwidth meter on January 5 that will let customers see their bandwidth usage for up to three months.  Keep in mind that states are not realtime and they can take anywhere from 3 days to update.
