track visitors on your myspace profile

Blogged in Internet Friday January 27, 2006 at about 2:24 am

Myspace has gained alot of popularity over the last few months. Just visiting library, I always see atleast 1 or 2 people visiting myspace.com to check our people. I always wondered if there is a way to see who is visiting my profile but it seems it will look really weird if myspace lets you see who is actually viewing your profile. However, now with help of google, you can actually see location of visitors. It won’t tell you the names but it’s a good tool to see where is the traffic coming from. Just paste the code in your myspace profile and when you click on it, it will show the visitors from last 24 hours.

View Location Of Visitors To Your Site
Copy/paste this HTML to your site:

You will end up with a button that looks like:
Geotarget

All you have to do is copy paste that code into your myspace profile. Log into your myspace > Edit Profile > About Me - Edit > Paste the html code and save. It should show you a link when you view your profile. All you have to do is click on the image and it will take you to a page with stats for your site.

when you click on the image, it will take you the url where you can view the location of visitors. Please keep in mind, this will only tell you the location of visitors.

I tried it and the button shows up fine but I get a message that says, “Oops, a problem…
Your browser is not sending the necessary referrer info (maybe Norton is blocking it?), so the map is falling back to data for digitalpoint.com” How do I fixed this? Thanks.
Also, is there a to hide the icon so other people don’t see it in your profile???
