Pioneer has finally come up with a Blu-ray disc that is capable of holding 400 GB worth of data. The new technology offers 16 seperate layers that are capable of holding 25 GB on each layer. Expect to see super read-only discs in 2008-2010, rewritable discs in 2010-2012, and 1 TB discs in 2013. This news should get game developers excited because it will allow them to truly utilize high definition gaming. I know folks with ps3 will be fine when it comes with high definition gaming. However, I wonder what will happen to people with xbox 360, who are stuck with HD-DVD.
